Catch Up Chums: ABOUT ME
Hola, I'm Jayy and welcome to the website, here you can find all the shiz you need to know about me, myself and I. On here you can find out about most of the kit I use, who I'm working with and how its all coming along.
I was born in Grantham, UK. Until I was about 6 I lived on Warwick Road in Newark, then we all moved to a tiny little village named Newton-on-Trent, it was there that I think I probably spend the best years of my life. I cant think of a moment when I wasn't happy there. Then, when I was about 10 we all moved over to Spain, Riogordo to be exact, a village about half an hour from the Coast, Its here where I sparked my interest in music and music production.
I was about 13 when I started playing guitar, I have many icons but I have to say the person who really influenced me to pick up a guitar is Jimmy Page, I saw him with a low-slung Les Paul one day on TV and I decided I wanted to do that, and I´v been doing it ever since. Over the years I admit my style has varied and changed but I´ll never stop using a Les Paul, after all, I think its the guitar of gods
. Among the Les Paul's I´v sparked interest in a lot of other guitars including firebirds and semi-acoustics but you can read all about that in the guitars and amps page.
Over looking all the guitars and amps and things I´d like to pass comment on all the bands I´v played in. I´v played in about 8 bands, most being Hard Rock, but for a while I played in a symphonic power metal band, yeah, we´ve all been through a odd metal faze. Right now I'm in two bands, one being International Inc. That I front with singer Diego Orsi. And number two is The Kalahondi Kids that I front with Chester & Jessie. If your a musician, you´ll know that its a bitch to get good musicians now-a-days, no ones got the beans and no ones got the class to pull anything worth remembering off now-a-days, I mean what ever happened to authentic "Sex, Drugs and Rock N´Roll"?!, now all we have is "techno, dance, and heavy heavy beats", as Lenny Kravitz once said "Rock N´ Roll Is Dead", and was he right?, I hope not. Anyway, Moving past all that jazz, Like I said, its hard to find musicians now-a-days, So I'm making it my mission to point out all the people who really deserve the fame, the people that should be as famous as these "Lady Perry" people, the real rock n´roll stars.
