About

Like anyone, theres lots to know about me, and obviously if I type it all down, its gonna be really boring to read. I’ll just point out the really important stuff, Well, I’m British, I was born on the 5th of February 1993 in Grantham Hospital, England. I lived in Newark until I was 4, then we moved to a small village; Newton On Trent. Then, when I was 10 we moved here, Spain!, And that to most people is a dream come true, but it took me a few years to accept it . Then when I was 14, that’s when I picked up my first guitar, which was some old small Spanish guitar that now-a-days refuses to tune, I named it “Chip” due to the fact its all chipped and scratched all over. The following Christmas I got a black Stratocaster copy, that was my first electric, then once I’d learnt to play a bit better I purchased a Les Paul copy, which is really scratched and used, but I still use it, because it has its own unique sound. A few months after that and me saving my money from birthdays and Christmas I bought about 400 euros worth of guitar amplifiers, vocal speakers, cables, mics, pedals, etc, I bought everything you could possible imagine just for my own personal use, and it was a good investment towards me recording my ideas, and it has become a extremely good bargaining chip in bands and projects. I got most of my equipment online and had it shipped, and truth be told, there’s no point using Marshall amplifiers until your famous, you may think they sound good, but if you get a decent distortion pedal, and a 60 watt amplifier you have more or less the same sound, in today’s age, your not really buying the quality of the amplifier, your buying the name. I’ll post the sites I use to buy my equipment on another page.

At the mo, I’m lead guitarist, vocalist, writer and composer for my band SyeR, Were set to release an 10 track EP late this year / early next year, there’s no fixed date yet. People ask what kind of music we do, but we really cant label it, its like hard rock, but can go from hard rock to something completely country haha, were only a 2 man band, but it rocks, more than anything else, all the drums are put through the speakers using a computer program, you just have to make sure you dont mess up, cos the drummer wont stop, it really teaches you though how to just cut back into a song and be exactly in the right place as if you hadn’t stopped at all. A very useful skill to have haha. In this band, like I said its just a two man band, we both play guitar, so it can get quite crowded with distortion at times haha

I also play and co-vocal in another 2 man band too called JEM ( Jordan & Elle Makin ), but this time I traded my guitarist for a bassist, my sister haha, this band completely goes in the opposite direction, where SyeR play hard rock and generally harder music, with JEM, we play a more alternative and punk style, some songs will be slower and have a lot pace and rhythm to them, the vocals can go from nice and smooth to Brody Dalle ( The Distillers ) harsh, which to me is a good kinda harsh when it comes to music. This band like I said is co-vocaled, I dont sing all the songs, but I do sing in all of them, me and my sister switch between songs, when one is on lead the other is backing, so it all works out. Were hopfully going to be doing a 5 track EP, we dont know when we will be recording it though haha. I’ll upload a few demos n things :)
